Luigi is a recent 2020 addition to Clearbook as Senior Advisor. He was born in Europe, and has lived in a handful of countries before deciding to make the move to the United States ten years ago – this is where he calls home, together with his Norwegian wife and two daughters.
Fine tuning his career path within the maritime and energy sector, has allowed Luigi to spend significant time traveling around the globe, in different capacities and companies along the way; from ship owners, to ship broker, to oil trader, and prior to joining Clearbrook, at Arctic Securities, a Nordic investment bank focusing on shipping and offshore. The course he set sail for gave him a more complete understanding of the industry, and has allowed him to interface with a wide variety of counterparts such as hedge funds, oil majors, family offices, ship owners and more. Mr. Galbiati studied at Bocconi University (Milan), where he holds a BSc in Economics, as well as INSEAD, where he took the Transition to General Management program.
